Since its inception, D2 Architecture has kept its course,
its passion, and its first love - excellent architecture
for seniors. For several years its founders worked together
as the regional office of CSD, a Top Ten Senior Living design
firm, and in that environment launched a reputation for
remarkable architecture for seniors from coast to coast.
Following the wind down of CSD in 2009, the entire Dallas
staff kept together, importantly retaining every project and
every client, to begin D2. Why? Because there was no better
way to sustain and to enlarge their commitment to excellent
architecture for seniors.
The audacity has paid off. Some of the largest and nicest
projects in the country can be found inside the D2 portfolio.
Likewise some of the most progressive, affordable, and humane.
Culture Change and Community Integration are topics on which D2's
principals have taught and presented on the national stage.

One of the most remarkable projects in D2's portfolio
is the nationally acclaimed Sleepover
Project, a long-term research effort conducted in conjunction
with the University of North Texas School of Sociology designed to
inform the entire senior living industry of better ways to design
environments for our aging population, particularly those in Assisted
Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Care settings. Please check out
the Sleepover Project section of our
website for more information.
"I am blessed to find myself - still - surrounded by such a creative
and hard-working team of friends, not to mention our loyal clients.
Forged in the turbulence of the recession, D2 is lean, disciplined,
focused, and committed to what we do best - design for seniors.
In fact, that is all we do."
David Dillard, AIA, President of D2 Architecture
